4 Days in Melbourne Itinerary: Complete Guide for First-Timers

Melbourne is such a beautiful city. I’ve been there twice and it was a lovely experience on both. The first I was a student and it was a very budget trip and the second was with my parents, so a great tourist and food itinerary. Both times I visited during the winter time and it so cold, we could enjoy nice restaurants, great wineries, stunning views and I will share with you my favourite things to do if you’re a first timer in Melbourne! How to get there You can fly with many Australians airlines as well as Qantas, Virgin, JetStar and Tiger…Melbourne is the capital and most populous city of…

I know that sounds a bit cliche, but I can’t leave this post without saying that: Bali it’s really an incredible place, its energy is surreal and it has a unique spirituality that makes us reflect on our own lifes. My Quarantine Routine

This is a very difficult time for everyone around the world. It’s so sad to watch what’s happening with all the people affected by the Covid-19. There is a lot of negativity out there and it’s being hard to live in these conditions of quarantine right now. But also, there are opportunities during this situation and I believe we need to keep going, staying positive and following the guides as well as the recommendations of World Health Organization – WHO and the government (health.gov.au) – Australia in my case. I’m already 40 days in quarantine where I live in Sydney, Australia. The numbers of Covid-19 cases here are falling as…

    The Cove Jervis Bay Review

The Cove is a charming acommodation located in Jervis Bay, New South Wales, but it’s also a hidden gem in the area, after a 13 kilometre drive through the rainforests of Booderee National Park. It was my second time in Jervis Bay and in my opinion it’s one of the best beaches in New South Wales. The water is crystal clear and the sand is white as its known as the whitest in the world according to Guiness Book. But The Cove is completely out of the busy area. It’s located in a seclude place and you can have this entire paradise only for you. That’s what happened to us, we…

Kimo Estate is a luxury accommodation situated 10 mins from Gundagai, NSW on a working 7000 acre sheep and cattle farm. I stayed at one of their three Eco Huts, called Sweeney’s Eco Hut (click here to book). How to get there Driving from Sydney, the time/distance is around 4 hours and it’s a good idea to book two nights or a weekend gateway. When I booked…

How I met Bruno…our love story

This post is a long story coming. Especially when I met Bruno 15 years ago. It’s also a magical timing as we’re going to celebrate our 13th wedding anniversary this year and I’m so excited planning everything! It’s so good to remember how our story begun… Back in time, Bruno and I lived in different cities in Brazil. We grow up in different places, so he had completed his university in Santos city when he just moved to another city called Campinas. I was completing my studies at the university in the same city when I got an internship in an advertising agency. Coincidence or not, it was in the…

    Weekend Guide to Canberra

I’ve had very busy but wonderful months, travelling through beautiful places. If you follow me on Instagram (@heycassitravel) for a little you could see all the places I’ve been visiting in real time and Canberra was one of them (check my Highlight Stories Saved). The trip was much better than I expected…Canberra is an amazing city, very modern and organized and, believe me, there are so many things to do there, that one weekend wasn’t enough for us. We’re definitely planning to come back asap. Canberra has been ranked third in Lonely Planet’s Best Cities to Visit in 2018 – that’s higher than any Australian city has ever been ranked…

Everyone knows how I love amazing hotels and to share beautiful places during my travels, but Kims Beachside Retreat definitely had my heart! What a fantastic luxury treehouse surrounded by a beautiful bush and right in front of the gorgeous Toowoon Bay, in Central Coast, New South Wales. Mistere Spa and Retreat

I had a wonderful stay at Mistere Spa and Retreat. It’s a perfect place to disappear from life’s stresses for few days. Mistere Spa and Retreat is set just thirty minutes’ drive from the Gold Coast International Airport at the serenity and peace of Urliup, NSW. I flew from Sydney to Gold Coast and hired a car in the airport to go directly to Urliup, NSW. The way is very pretty, so be prepared to enjoy the views! Accommodation There are three one-bedroom villas, all five-star accommodation into the bush paradise. I stayed at the Waterfall Villa, a stylishly decorated using all neutral colours. Billabong Retreat Review

My experience at Billabong Retreat just before Christmas was absolutely amazing! It was a perfect time to disconnect from the busiest time of year and just relax over the weekend. This wonderful retreat is located very close from Sydney, NSW just 45 minutes by train. I planned to stay for a weekend, so I left Sydney on Friday afternoon and I took the train from Central to Vineyard Station. The shuttle was there on time waiting to picked up and after 10 minutes I arrived at Billabong Retreat. When I arrived, I felt my stress melting away and also all the relaxation from the beautiful nature surronded the beautiful Billabong…
